Elise Aulinger

Elise Aulinger (11 December 1881 – 12 February 1965) was a renowned German actress whose career spanned over five decades, encompassing stage, radio, and film work. Born in Munich, German Empire, she entered the theatrical world in 1903, quickly gaining acclaim for her versatility and powerful presence, which allowed her to transition seamlessly between classical plays and emerging cinematic productions. Aulinger’s early stage performances earned her a reputation as a dependable character actress, and by the 1920s she was a familiar face in silent films such as The Favourite of the Queen (1922) and Martin Luther (1923).
