Darby Eliza Camp is an impactful American actress, first making her way into the world of acting through her mother, herself an actress. Born on July 14, 2007, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Darby found her breakout role in HBO's Big Little Lies (2017–2019) where she played Chloe Adaline Mackenzie, impressing viewers and critics alike with her nuanced performance. Her role in the series led to greater recognition and opportunities in the entertainment industry, and she later appeared in films such as Benji (2018), The Christmas Chronicles (2018), and Dreamland (2019). Despite her young age, Darby reprised her role of Kate Pierce in The Christmas Chronicles 2 and starred in Paramount Pictures's Clifford the Big Red Dog and Starz's Gaslit.

Darby's acting journey began when her mother, Lacy, encouraged her and her sister, Ruthie, to get involved in acting. Despite being homeschooled for two years, Darby enrolled back into school in November 2020.
