Daniel Flaherty

Daniel Flaherty, born on June 11, 1993, is a well-recognized American actor, particularly known for portraying the role of Stanley Lucerne on the MTV teen drama series Skins. Born and raised in Glen Rock, New Jersey, Flaherty initiated his acting journey at the tender age of 11. It was at 13 that he bagged his maiden short film, My First Kiss. By 17, Flaherty had already performed in various independent short films including Spark, Vacant, The Parade, and Portnoy.

His significant breakthrough came in 2010, when he secured the role of Stanley Lucerne in the MTV's take on the British teen drama Skins. Flaherty made it to this role after a second private audition, having not received a call back after the initial New York open audition. He later declared that the most intriguing part of working on Skins was his contribution to the character development. In 2012, he was cast as Tommy in the indy dramedy Contest, only to later appear in Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street. From 2013, he took a recurring role in 'The Americans', playing Matthew Beeman. In 2016, he joined the cast of The Garden Left Behind directed by Flavio Alves.
