Charlie Carver, born Charles Carver Martensen on July 31, 1988, in San Francisco, California, is an American actor whose career has spanned television, film, and stage. He first entered the public eye playing Porter Scavo, one half of the mischievous Scavo twins on the long‑running ABC series Desperate Housewives (2008‑2012), a role he shared with his identical twin brother Max Carver, establishing a distinctive on‑screen twin dynamic that would become a hallmark of his early work. After graduating from the University of Southern California in 2012 and honing his craft at the American Conservatory Theater, Carver expanded his repertoire with a recurring turn as Ethan Steiner, a complex alpha werewolf, on MTV’s Teen Wolf (2013‑2014, 2017), and later appeared as Scott Frost in the critically acclaimed HBO drama The Leftovers (2014).
