Brenton Thwaites

Brenton Thwaites is an Australian actor who began his career on home soil in 2011 with a lead role on the series 'Slide', and later made appearances on the soap opera 'Home And Away'. His entry into the American movie scene came with key roles in films like 'Blue Lagoon: The Awakening' (2012), 'Oculus' (2013), 'The Giver' (2014), 'Gods of Egypt' (2016), and 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales' (2017). Moreover, he's renowned for interpreting the character Dick Grayson / Robin / Nightwing in the DC Universe / HBO Max series 'Titans' from 2018 to 2023.

Thwaites was born in Cairns, Queensland. Before acting, he considered becoming a policeman or a firefighter, influenced by the films he watched. His interest, however, shifted to filmmaking and acting. By 16, he was performing in front of live audiences. His formal training in acting was at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) where he graduated in 2010, then relocated to Sydney to join the cast of 'Home and Away'. His early career involved roles in his university's independent film 'Charge Over You' (2010), and TV series like Slide and Home and Away where his roles were well-received. His move to the U.S accentuated his career, with prominent roles in critically acclaimed movies and series. His performance in the 2012 television film 'Blue Lagoon: The Awakening' received praise. In his personal life, he started a relationship with Chloe Pacey in 2015, and the pair now share five children.
