Bobby Cannavale

Bobby Cannavale (born May 3, 1970) is an ambitious and accomplished American actor, known for his diverse and iconic roles in both film and television. His breakthrough role came as Roberto "Bobby" Caffey in the NBC series Third Watch, displaying his exceptional talent from 1999 to 2001.

Cannavale's impressive performance capacity earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for Will & Grace in 2005. His recurring role in Nurse Jackie landed him nominations in 2012 and 2013. He was recognized again in 2013, winning the Primetime Emmy Award for portraying the charismatic yet ruthless Gyp Rosetti in Boardwalk Empire. His portfolio includes roles in shows like Vinyl, Mr. Robot, Blue Bloods, Master of None, as well as Amazon Prime's Homecoming and Hulu's Nine Perfect Strangers. In 2022, he made an impact with his role in Netflix's The Watcher.

Not limited to television, he made his Broadway debut in Theresa Rebeck's play Mauritius in 2008, proving his versatility and earning a Tony Award nomination. He has starred in numerous films, showcasing his talent in both comedic and dramatic roles, like The Station Agent, Blue Jasmine, I, Tonya, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Cannavale was born and raised in Union City, New Jersey. His love for acting was ignited early, securing roles in his school productions of The Music Man and Guys and Dolls. After a brief relocation to Puerto Rico and Florida, he returned to New Jersey to launch his acting career.
