**Blake Ellender Lively** (born August 25, 1987) is a renowned American actress. Born in Los Angeles as Blake Brown, she is the progeny of talent manager Elaine Lively and actor Ernie Lively, making her professional acting debut in Ernie Lively's directorial project Sandman (1998). Blake's breakthrough role came from *The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants* (2005) and its 2008 sequel, which solidified her place in the acting sphere. Further recognition followed with her portrayal of Serena van der Woodsen in the CW teen drama television series Gossip Girl (2007–2012).
