What's After the Movie
Alma Jodorowsky is a French actress, singer, and fashion model born on 26 September 1991 in Paris, France. She comes from a distinguished artistic lineage, being the granddaughter of the visionary Chilean‑French filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky and the daughter of actor Brontis Jodorowsky. From an early age she immersed herself in the performing arts, studying at the Conservatoire Darius Milhaud in Aix‑en‑Provence and later at the Studio‑théâtre d'Asnières in Paris, before sharpening her craft with a three‑month workshop at the New York Film Academy in 2011. Her acting debut arrived at the tender age of fourteen when she appeared in the French television movie Gaspard le Bandit, and she quickly transitioned to the big screen with the role of Estelle in Eyes Find Eyes. She further showcased her versatility in the French comedy Sea, No Sex and Sun and gained international recognition with a supporting performance in Abdellatif Kechiche’s Palme d'Or‑winning drama Blue Is the Warmest Colour.
Beyond acting, Alma has cultivated a successful modeling career, gracing the pages of The Coveteur, Vice, Envy, Marie Claire Italy, and Emirates Woman. In 2011 she became the face of Opening Ceremony, and her striking presence earned her a spot on Snatch’s cover of the thirteen young promises of 2013. She has collaborated with fashion icons such as Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel’s “The Little Black Jacket” exhibition and starred in Chaumet’s luxurious “Proud To Be Late” campaign. As a singer, she leads the Paris‑based pop band Burning Peacocks, writing and performing original material. Expanding her creative repertoire, Alma directed the music video “Saint‑Victoire” for Clara Luciani in March 2019, confirming her multi‑disciplinary talent within the contemporary arts scene.
