Alejandro Goic

Alejandro Goic Karmelic (born 20 April 1957) is a Chilean actor whose career spans theatre, television and cinema, making him one of the most versatile performers of his generation. He was born in Santiago, Chile into a family that was deeply affected by the political turmoil of the 1970s; his early years were marked by the 1973 coup, after which his family was forced into exile, a experience that later informed many of his most powerful roles. Returning to Chile in the late 1970s, Goic began his artistic training at the Escuela de Arte Dramático and quickly became a fixture on the national stage, appearing in critically acclaimed productions such as La Muerte al Sol and Los González.
