A fateful encounter at a trailer park shifts the investigation from the personal to the perilous. Farukh rises from the shadows after Vishwanath loses Peter, and the two soon cross paths with Omar Qureshi, a leading figure in a militant faction. Farukh reports back to Omar and Salim, who piece together the detective’s diary and learn Nirupama’s ties to Deepak. When Deepak is abducted to a warehouse, Nirupama and Vishwanath are pulled into a brutal confrontation. Farukh interrogates Vishwanath aggressively, and when Vishwanath refuses to cooperate, Deepak is killed. As the modern day unfolds, Nirupama, Ashmita, Jagannath, and Dawkins attempt to untangle the tangle of pasts and present threats. The FBI re-enters the picture as Captain Tom Black and his team close in on a warehouse where Cesium weapons are being hoarded. A flashback unveils a failed tracking device that should have led American forces to Omar’s village, a misstep that cost Imtiaz his life and left Wisam grappling with guilt. In the present, a tense interrogation probes Nirupama’s ties to the jihadis, but Jagannath vouches for Wisam to the Indian embassy, and Tom Black acknowledges the complex history at play.

The battle intensifies as a plan to weaponize cesium comes into focus. An elaborate sequence leads to the discovery of foreign cesium shipments and a web of betrayals that reach across continents. [Wisam] and Nirupama piece together the conspiracy, aided by the FBI’s use of microwaves to shield against detonation near sensitive targets. Omar and Salim push forward with their assault on New York, but Wisam’s cunning and the embassy’s support turn the tide. Dawkins uncovers files about the plan, while [Munavar] and Salim race to secure the bomb’s activation. In a climactic standoff, the cesium threat is contained, but not erased, and the true battle emerges: Wisam versus Omar, a personal war that Hale-style justice cannot easily resolve.

In a sweeping finale that threads back to Wisam’s earlier days, Nirupama realizes that the war is not simply against a foreign threat but a duel within Wisam’s own soul.
