Spoilers ahead
In a snowy, pine-scented forest, a group of workers with power tools cut down trees, burn some, and package others into trucks. The assembled trees are sent to facilities and sold as Christmas trees, but these trees are not just wooden decorations—they are sentient beings who feel every cut, burn, and shove. They try to communicate in their own language, reaching out with what tiny signals they can muster, but the humans hear nothing and understand even less.
