In 1958, the quiet town of Centreville, Illinois experiences a chilling, almost imperceptible invasion from extraterrestrial beings. These visitors unleash mysterious beams of energy from their hands and eyes, and one by one the town’s residents are transformed into crystal-like blue orbs that pulse with life. With eerie precision, the invaders move among the community, using artificial skin and hair to assume the identities of the people they’ve replaced, effectively erasing the town’s original inhabitants and masking the true extent of the takeover.
