What Is Dear Jack About?
The premise of Dear Jack without spoilers.
Andrew McMahon, then 22, was riding high with Jack’s Mannequin in 2005 when leukemia struck. Using the DV camera hired to document his album, he filmed everything before and after the May day he completed the record and learned of his diagnosis. Dear Jack follows that moment and the ensuing personal journey, weaving in childhood memories, the making of the debut album, rare live performances, and his relationships with his sister and her best friend.
