What Is Closing Time About?
The premise of Closing Time without spoilers.
An impoverished scriptwriter roams Tokyo’s bars, constantly kicked out at closing time yet always finding a woman to spend the night with. He engages in semi‑philosophical street dialogues with fellow drinkers, shot in black‑and‑white as chapter prologues, all revolving around a bottle of whisky. A meeting with a homeless AIDS‑stricken youth changes his life.
