Ruben, a reclusive young man blind since childhood, meets Marie, an insecure albino woman with a beautiful singing voice. Sharing a love of books, Marie is hired by Ruben’s mother to read to him. While living in a large mansion, their loneliness turns to romance, prompting the question of whether their love can endure if Ruben ever regains his sight.
