The film Before You Know It offers a vibrant glimpse into the lives of senior citizens who are anything but ordinary. These spirited individuals are not just grappling with the challenges of aging; they are go-go booted bar-hoppers, ardent activists, mischievous baton twirlers, and savvy Internet adventurers. They belong to a vast population of approximately 2.4 million lesbian, gay, and bisexual Americans over the age of 55, many of whom encounter increased discrimination, neglect, and exclusion. However, Before isn’t merely a recounting of somber statistics and harsh realities; it is a celebration of generational trailblazers who have triumphed over prejudice and shattered expectations.
