Daniel Schmidt

Daniel Schmidt (born 15 August 1991) is a German trampoline gymnast who has become one of the most consistent performers on the international circuit. Born in Kassel, Germany, Schmidt began training in gymnastics at the age of six and quickly gravitated toward the trampoline discipline, attracted by its blend of aerial acrobatics and precise timing. By his teenage years he was competing nationally, capturing the German junior title in 2008 and earning a spot on the senior national team the following year. Schmidt made his senior World Cup debut in 2010, where his clean execution and innovative routines drew attention from judges and audiences alike. He achieved his first major international breakthrough at the 2014 European Championships, winning silver on the individual trampoline and helping Germany secure the team gold. The momentum continued into the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, where Schmidt delivered a flawless performance that placed him in the top five, marking his emergence as a serious Olympic contender.
