Adam Randall

Adam Randall (born July 14, 2004) is an American college football running back who currently stars for the Clemson Tigers in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Raised in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Randall grew up in a family steeped in athletics; his father Jerome excelled as a basketball player at South Carolina State and later became the Chief Investigator of the Horry County Public Defender's office while also operating a nonprofit, and his mother Wanda works as a guidance counselor. His older brother Austin followed a similar path, playing cornerback for Clemson after a stint at Coastal Carolina, which provided Adam with an early glimpse of top‑level collegiate competition. Randall attended Myrtle Beach High School, where he distinguished himself on both the football field and the track, earning a reputation as a versatile athlete with a powerful frame at 6 ft 2 in and 225 lb. As a senior he was a finalist for the Mr. Football South Carolina Award and earned a coveted spot in the Under Armour All‑American Game, solidifying his status as a four‑star recruit. Choosing to remain close to home, Randall committed to Clemson University, a decision influenced by his participation in Clemson football camps throughout his youth. He enrolled early in 2022 and impressed coaches during spring practice before an ACL tear temporarily halted his momentum. Demonstrating resilience, he recovered swiftly, making his collegiate debut in Week 3 against Louisiana Tech and later earning his first start in the Orange Bowl, where he caught three passes for 44 yards. The 2024 ACC championship highlighted his adaptability when he switched from wide receiver to running back, returning a kickoff 41 yards to set up the game‑winning field goal. In the offseason Clemson announced his permanent move to the backfield, where his combination of size, speed, and vision positions him as a potential future star in college football.
