The program opens with Aaron Copland’s exuberant “Three Dances from Rodeo” – “Buckaroo Holiday,” “Saturday Night Waltz,” and “Hoedown” – before launching into a series of dazzling arrangements by Wylie Gustafson, reimagined by the talented Hanson, including “To Her,” “Manolito,” “Cattle Call,” “Whoop Up Trail,” “Bucking Horse Moon,” “I Get High,” and “Lasca.” Highlights also feature the soaring “America the Beautiful,” James Newton Howard’s “Suite from Wyatt Earp,” Dimitri Tiomkin’s “High Noon Symphonic Suite” adapted by Jonathan Palmer & Patrick Russ, and a thrilling “Don’t Fence Me In/Red River Valley Medley.” With every note and arrangement, the concert invites fans to saddle up for an unforgettable journey through the soundscape of the wild west.
