Next, the National Chamber Music program showcases “Tea Horse” through a powerful performance by Li Bozen, while the Central Conservatory’s Art Chamber Orchestra presents the pulsing energy of “Dance Dance,” bringing Zhang Shuai’s soaring song to life. The Shengfeng Chamber Orchestra then carries the narrative forward, followed by the intimate Plucked Music Ensemble’s “Love Song on the Edge of the Sky,” featuring Sun Jing’s lyrical stringwork. An exhilarating interlude—“Overlord Unarmored,” a pipa concerto arranged and created by Zhou Long—highlights the skill of the pipa that creates a dramatic break from the film’s rhythm.
