**The Great New Year’s Gala** Welcome the new year in style with the Toruń Symphony Orchestra! Every December, they invite you to a dazzling, multi‑genre celebration that blends the enchantment of musical theatre, the allure of operetta, the grandeur of film scores, and the timeless charm of Johann Strauss. Under the seasoned baton of conductor Mirosław Jacek Błaszczyk, the orchestra will guide you through a soundtrack of joyous classics and cinematic triumphs. The event features soaring soprano Iwona Handzlik and tenor Adam Zdunikowski, who will delight audiences with standout selections from beloved operettas and Broadway hits such as “The Princess of Czardas,” “My Fair Lady,” “The Gypsy Baron,” “The Tyrolean Birdman,” “La Perichola,” and “Countess Marica.” Their voices lift the spirit of the gala into a soaring chorus of color and passion. A unique, energetic violin‑accordion duo—Karolina Mikołajczyk on violin and Iwo Jedynecki on accordion—will take you on a musical journey across oceans, offering a “Hollywood Fantasy” that includes motifs from iconic films: “Rain Song,” “Star Wars,” “La La Land,” “Schindler’s List,” and “The Lord of the Rings.” Their dynamic collaboration brings to life the genius of John Williams, Justin Hurwitz, Howard Shore, and more. The orchestra will also perform the legendary Strauss repertoire, featuring the “Rodecki March,” the waltz “On the Beautiful Blue Danube,” as well as the joyful polkas “Ohne Sorgen” and “Thunder and Lightning,” keeping the torch of Viennese elegance alive. Host Regina Gowarzewska will add her trademark humor and warmth, leading the experience with charm and conviviality. During the interlude, guests can enjoy a champagne toast and capture memories against a specially prepared photo backdrop—an unforgettable souvenir from a night that celebrates music, tradition, and new beginnings. **Don’t miss a chance to be part of this spectacular, New Year’s Gala—where history, heroes, and harmonies converge in a triumphant celebration of art and joy!**
