Five stellar groups—our elite **Sinfonietta**, the vibrant youth orchestras **Intermezzo**, **Concertante** and **Preludio**, and the seasoned adult ensemble **Camerata**—deliver a carefully curated program that blends timeless classical masterpieces with beloved film scores. Feel the rush of **The Incredibles** as the strings ignite, and revel in the sweeping drama of Ennio Morricone’s **The Good, the Bad and the Ugly** and the evocative sounds of *Cinema Paradiso*. Joyful moments are punctuated by Aaron Copland’s spirited **Hoe-down** and the sensational tangos of Astor Piazzolla, while the night is highlighted by Future of Excellence awardee **Yuki Kirikae** taking centre stage for an inspirational solo in Johann Sebastian Bach’s **Piano Concerto No. 5**. As the performance draws to a close, more than a hundred performers—including all five ensembles and adult violin classes—unit under the direction of the VSO, uniting in a soaring finale that brings Bach’s **Chorale from the Anna Magdalena Notebook** to life.
