Sonic Spectrum III invites you to an intimate evening in the Rose Studio at CMS, featuring pianist Orion Weiss with violinists Benjamin Beilman and Bella Hristova. The program showcases the music of the late twentieth and early twenty‑first centuries, including premieres. Highlights include John Corigliano (b. 1938) – “The Red Violin Caprices” (1999); David Serkin Ludwig (b. 1974) – “Swan Song for Violin and Piano” (2013), based on the music for the 1998 film of the same name by François Girard; and Frederic Rzewski (1938‑2021) – “Demons for Violin and Piano” (New York Premiere, 2017).
