Under the seasoned baton of conductor Viv Halton and the engaging commentary of Myra Brunton, the program opens with the kinetic energy of Samuel R. Hazo’s “Parkour” and the fiery Afro‑dance rhythms of Arturo Márquez’s “Conga del Fuego Nuevo.” The screen then erupts into the exhilarating arrangements of Danny Elfman and Alan Silvestri for “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” followed by the emotionally resonant “Blue Shades…” by Frank Ticheli. The set continues to sparkle with a James Bond medley—cut from the works of John Barry, Monty Norman, and others—arranged by J. de Meij, and soaring selections from Stephen Schwartz’s “Wicked” staged by J. Bocook, closing with Robert Sheldon’s contemporary “Sixty‑Six.” Every note and beat is captured for the benefit of Centre 33, the local charity supporting young people ages 13‑25 across Cambridgeshire.
