Under the baton of guest conductor Dr. Danko Druško, this spectacular evening will transport you to the far reaches of the universe and beyond. The adventure begins with a breathtaking rendition of Richard Strauss’ Also sprach Zarathustra, instantly recognizable as the iconic fanfare from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Following this, experience Gustav Holst’s sweeping masterpiece, The Planets, in a captivating abridged version, showcasing the raw power of Mars, the serene beauty of Venus, the playful energy of Uranus, and the jubilant spirit of Jupiter. Journey further into fantastical realms with a selection of cherished scores from Studio Ghibli, courtesy of the brilliant Joe Hisaishi. Relive the heartwarming magic of *My Neighbor Totoro*, soar through the whimsical world of *Howl’s Moving Castle* with "Merry-Go-Round of Life,” and bask in the nostalgic wonder of “One Summer’s Day” from *Spirited Away*. The evening culminates in a truly epic finale: John Williams' legendary Star Wars Suite for Orchestra! From the iconic Main Title to the haunting Princess Leia’s Theme, the ominous Imperial March, the wise counsel of Yoda’s Theme, and the triumphant Throne Room & End Title, prepare to be swept away to a galaxy far, far away.
