Concert Film

Music Around the World marks a landmark moment for the Trinity Concert Band as they launch their 25th‑anniversary season with a truly global musical odyssey. In this dazzling evening, the orchestra carries you across continents: from the vibrant pulse of the United States—highlighted by spirited pieces that echo the energy of Washington, Shenandoah, and New York—to the rich folk traditions of Ireland and Scotland, featuring the stirring “Irish Tune from County Derry” and the spirited “Lord Tullamore.” We then glide into continental Europe with Dvořák’s exuberant “Slavonic Dances,” turn the tide toward South America with the powerful “Amazonia,” and journey further afield to New Zealand in Philip Sparke’s evocatively titled “Land of the Long White Cloud.” Back on home soil we celebrate British heritage with the cheerful “A Yorkshire Overture,” and add a dose of swashbuckling adventure with the rousing “Pirates of the Caribbean.” A highlight of the program is Frank Ticheli’s moving “American Elegy,” a reflective tribute composed in memory of those lost at Columbine High School and in honor of survivors. Beyond its artistic breadth, this concert supports a worthy cause—raising funds for the 2026 charity partner Parenting Special Children, which provides vital support to families of children and young people with additional needs. Join us in the historic setting of All Saints Church, Wokingham, to celebrate the Trinity Concert Band’s 25 years and experience an evening where music truly spans the globe.
