Concert Film

“Farewell to the Microphone – 22nd Anniversary Symphonically” invites fans to the final, intimate tribute to Łukasz Rostkowski’s legendary rap career. For more than two decades, the artist, known as LUC, has penned the words and rhythms that have reshaped Polish hip‑hop, earning Fryderyk, Mateusz Trójki, Orzeł, Mozzart RMF Classic and Onet's Olśnienia awards. From pioneering hip‑hop‑jazz blends on Kanal Audytywny in 2003 to the revolutionary rap‑symphonic project Homoxymoronomatura with Rahim (Paktofonika) in 2007, LUC has bridged underground grit with philharmonic grandeur. His 2008 album “Planet LUC” earned a Polityka Passport nomination, and 2009’s “39/89 Understanding Poland” captured the new “documentary music” genre, garnering the award. In this concert film, the artist performs beloved tracks such as “Związek z tym,” “Ode to Youth,” “Najlepsze przed mnie,” “co z tej Polska,” “O półobrocie czaka,” and “Happy End” with lush, symphonic arrangements from the Rebel Babel Orchestra—an ensemble that once united 12,000 musicians across 25 countries, including the Grammy‑winning Hot 8 Brass Band, DJ Qbert, and Katie Melua. Special guests join LUC for a sentimental journey through his musical past, while his post‑modern, striking poetics unfold in a raw, emotionally resonant setting, free from flashy multimedia. **Details & tickets**.
