Under the direction of conductor Frank Strobel, with Richard Wilberforce leading the choir and supported by associate directors Rémi Aguirre Zubiri, Edwin Baudo, Désirée Pannetier, Béatrice Warcollier, and Wojciech Kilar's former teacher, Nadia Boulanger, this performance unveils the composer's masterful exploration of Dracula’s dual nature – both terrifying menace and seductive allure. Kilar's score, rich with sumptuous harmonies, striking solo instruments (including haunting viola and bass flute), and the ethereal presence of the choir, weaves a dense tapestry of leitmotifs that will captivate your soul.
