Chamber Music Series V: Fiery Tango invites you to experience the passionate pulse of Argentine dance through an eclectic concert journey. Under the masterful arrangements of Chenghong JIN, the film opens with Loreena McKennitt’s “Tango to Evora,” setting a fiery tone that carries through “Love Theme From the 1968 movie Romeo and Juliet, ‘A Time for Us,’ ” and the electrifying “Buenos Aires Hora Cero” by Astor Piazzolla. Classic Latin vibes come alive with Juan Carlos Cobián’s “Nostalgias,” Jacob Gade’s “Jealousy,” and Claude François/Jacques Revaux’s take on “My Way.” The soaring “Por una Cabeza” by Carlos Gardel and Piazzolla’s haunting “Oblivion” immerse you in the soul of Buenos Aires, while the timeless “What a Wonderful World” by Bob Thiele/George David Weiss offers a heartfelt interlude.
