Concert Film

100 Year Battleship Potemkin’s Celebration live Experience the centennial tribute to Sergei Eisenstein’s landmark film, *Battleship Potemkin*, with a live concert‑film performance that blends historic sound with unforgettable visuals. In 1925, the film premiered on 21 December at Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre as the official anniversary feature celebrating the 1905 Revolution; today, the 100th anniversary is honored on the same date at the historic cinema BABYLON. The event showcases the original score by Berlin composer Edmund Meisel, newly reconstructed for the centenary and arranged in 2025 by conductor George Morton and Hans Brandner. The score, based on rediscovered original parts and the 1926 version, is performed live by the Babylon Orchestra Berlin under Morton’s baton. The film is shown with English subtitles, restored and completed with a colorized galley, and includes a world‑premiere of the newly arranged music. Join us for a thrilling night where Eisenstein’s revolutionary masterpiece is brought back to life through music, motion, and history—all on one unforgettable stage.
