Tómas has alopecia universalis, which made him completely hairless by the age of 14, a distinguishing physical feature that certainly adds a unique touch to his on-screen presence. Growing up in Iceland, Tómas pursued an interest in theater, eventually studying at the prestigious Cours Florent in Paris. Here, he was a classmate of the famous actress Audrey Tautou. Following this, he attended the Reykjavík School of Fine Arts in Iceland, successfully graduating in 2004. His multi-faceted education background laid a strong foundation for his outstanding acting career.

Arguably, his most recognized role came in 2003, through the Icelandic film, Noi the Albino. His performance was well-received, securing him the limelight and leading to numerous other roles.
