Tim Bagley

Timothy Hugh Bagley, born on August 17, 1957 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is an American actor and comedian whose career spans over three decades across television, film, and improv comedy. After moving to Los Angeles, Bagley began studying with The Groundlings in 1989, quickly becoming a fixture of their Main Stage Company where his sharp timing and character work earned him a reputation as a versatile performer. Although he stepped away from the Main Company in the mid‑1990s, he continues to return for the all‑improv show Cookin' with Gas, showcasing his love for spontaneous comedy. Transitioning to television in the early 1990s, Bagley landed guest spots on series such as Diagnosis: Murder and Seinfeld before securing his first regular role on Showtime’s Sunny Skies, a now‑forgotten project created by Howie Mandel. Throughout the 2000s, Bagley became a familiar face on primetime television, delivering memorable recurring characters on shows like Will & Grace, where he played Larry, half of a gay couple with an adopted daughter, and The King of Queens, Hope & Gloria, Strip Mall, and According to Jim. His portrayal of the obsessive‑compulsive Harold Krenshaw on Monk highlighted his ability to blend humor with pathos, often clashing with the title character in ways that delighted audiences.
