Theodor Danegger was an Austrian stage and screen actor whose career spanned four decades, from the silent era of the early 1920s through the post‑war boom of the 1950s. Born on 31 August 1891 in the alpine town of Lienz, then part of the Austro‑Hungarian Empire, Danegger grew up in a culturally rich region that nurtured his early fascination with theatre and folk performance.
