Siamak Ansari

Siamak Ansari (born 3 August 1968 in Tehran, Iran) is a celebrated Iranian actor and director best known for his prolific work in television sitcoms and comedy series. After completing his secondary education, he pursued a bachelor's degree in arts at Azad University, where he honed his performance skills and developed a deep appreciation for Iranian theatrical traditions. His on‑screen debut came in 1987, and by the late 1990s he had become a familiar face in popular TV dramas such as Jome Bazar (1997) and Golhaye 77 (1998), establishing a reputation for impeccable timing and charismatic presence. Throughout the 2000s, Ansari starred in a string of hit series including Pavarchin (2002), Shabhaye Barareh (2005), and Baghe Mozaffar (2006), often collaborating with fellow comedy legends like Hadi Kazemi and Reza Shafiei Jam, which cemented his status as a household name in Iranian entertainment. In April 2007 he made his directing debut with the television series Faza Navardan (The Astronauts), showcasing his ability to blend satire with social commentary and featuring a cast drawn from his earlier successful projects. His versatility extended to feature films, most notably his role in Ebrahim Hatamikia’s Davat (2008) and the comedy 5 afternoon (2017).
