Serkan Keskin

Serjan Keskin (born 25 November 1977) is a Turkish actor, director, and musician who has become a staple of contemporary Turkish cinema and theatre. He first emerged on the professional stage in 1998 and quickly distinguished himself with a versatile range that spans absurdist comedy, classical tragedy, and socially‑critical drama, earning him a reputation as one of the most adaptable performers of his generation. Leyla ile Mecnun, the surreal comedy series that achieved cult status, brought him widespread recognition through his unforgettable portrayal of İsmail, a character whose quirky humor and subtle pathos resonated with audiences across the country. Since then, Keskin has appeared in more than thirty films, collaborating with celebrated directors and earning critical acclaim for roles in award‑winning pictures such as İtirazım Var, for which he received the Most Successful Drama Actor prize at the 20th Sadri Alışık Cinema Awards in 2015 and a Best Actor award at the 51st Golden Orange Film Festival. Beyond the screen, Keskin has maintained a prolific theatre career, performing with the renowned Semaver Kumpanya on productions ranging from Aristophanes’ The Birds to Shakespeare’s The Tempest and Titus Andronicus. He has also taken on directing duties, staging works like Metot and Resmi Geçit, demonstrating a commitment to nurturing the Turkish stage.
