Rada Rassimov (born 7 May 1938) is a veteran Italian actress of Serbian heritage who embarked on her screen career in the early 1960s and has remained active across six decades of film and television. She first appeared in the 1962 television mini‑series Una tragedia americana, portraying La signora Brent, which marked the beginning of a prolific period that saw her become a recognizable face in genre cinema. Throughout the 1960s she secured roles in a variety of Italian‑produced westerns and thrillers, most famously playing Maria in Sergio Leone’s iconic The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966), a part that continues to be cited by scholars as a subtle yet essential element of the film’s narrative texture. Rassimov’s versatility allowed her to transition effortlessly between harsh frontier landscapes and urbane mystery settings, as evidenced by her performance as Bianca Merusi in Dario Argento’s The Cat o’ Nine Tails (1971) and as Christina Hoffmann in the gothic horror Baron Blood (1972).
