Post Malone

Austin Richard Post (born July 4, 1995), known professionally as Post Malone, is an acclaimed American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and guitarist. He gained distinction for his fusion of various genres including hip hop, pop, R&B, trap, and country. He took his stage name from a rap name generator. Malone launched his musical career in 2011 and became recognized with his 2015 debut single 'White Iverson'. His debut album, 'Stoney' (2016), peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 and featured the diamond-certified single 'Congratulations' featuring Quavo. His subsequent albums, 'Beerbongs & Bentleys' (2018) and 'Hollywood's Bleeding' (2019), debuted atop the Billboard 200 and set various streaming records. Notably, his single 'Sunflower' (with Swae Lee) was released for the soundtrack to the 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and became the highest-certified song in RIAA history as the first to receive double diamond certification. He went on to release more successful albums, 'Twelve Carat Toothache' (2022) and 'Austin' (2023). Post Malone is regarded among the best-selling music artists, with over 80 million records sold. His accolades include ten Billboard Music Awards, three American Music Awards, and numerous Grammy Award nominations. He holds various Billboard chart records and, as of 2024, owns the record for the artist with the most diamond-certified songs with nine to his name.
