Pierre Franckh

Pierre Franckh, born on May 1, 1953, in Heilbronn, West Germany, is a multifaceted German artist and entrepreneur who has maintained a remarkable presence in the entertainment industry since his early childhood. As the youngest son of actress Ursula Franckh and director Hans Heinz Franckh, he was immersed in the world of performance from birth, making his stage debut at the tender age of six alongside the legendary Theo Lingen, and securing his first film role at ten in Helmut Käutner's Das Haus in Montevideo (1963) alongside Heinz Rühmann. His breakthrough arrived at age fourteen with a leading role in Der Kommissar, establishing him as a prominent juvenile actor, and he subsequently built an extensive career spanning over five decades with more than 350 television appearances in iconic German series such as Derrick, Der Alte, Diese Drombuschs, and Rivalen der Rennbahn. Beyond television, Franckh demonstrated his versatility through significant film work, including a critically acclaimed performance as the stenographer in Romuald Karmakar's Der Totmacher (1995), which won the German Film Award and was submitted for the Academy Awards, as well as his role as Pastor Wehr in Costa-Gavras' Amen. (2002), which screened at the Berlin International Film Festival. In 2000, he expanded his creative repertoire by debuting as a screenwriter and director with the feature film Just the Beginning, while also maintaining an active presence in theater at prestigious venues including Munich's Residenztheater and Berlin's Renaissance Theater.

Since 1996, Franckh has evolved into one of Germany's most successful authors and motivational speakers in the realm of personal development and life coaching, transitioning from acting to authoring with remarkable commercial success. His advice book Glücksregeln für die Liebe (2004) became a bestseller, launching a publishing career that has sold over three million copies across 21 countries, with his Der 6-Minuten-Coach series achieving SPIEGEL bestseller status and multiple titles simultaneously appearing on the Focus bestseller lists. As an entrepreneur and seminar leader, he lectures globally on happiness, success, and the law of resonance, while also training kinesiologists and alternative practitioners; in 2014, he and his wife, actress Michaela Merten—whom he married in 1992—co-founded the online academy Happiness House, offering courses in positive psychology, meditation, and personal development. His family heritage includes significant literary connections, as his great-granduncle founded the Franckh'sche Verlagsbuchhandlung publishing house in 1822, and he is related to Friedrich Schiller's sister through marriage, while his grandfather Manfred Franckh was a patron of Count Zeppelin.
