Omar Fierro

Omar Fierro (born October 10, 1963 in Mexico City) is a veteran Mexican actor, producer, and television host whose career spans more than four decades. He began appearing on television in the early 1980s, with a memorable role in the cult classic series ¡¡Cachún cachún ra‑ra!! in 1981, and quickly established himself as a versatile performer capable of handling both dramatic telenovela parts and comedic sketches. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s he accumulated a prolific résumé, starring in popular series such as Quinceañera (1987) as Arturo, Monte Calvario (1988) as Román, and the long‑running soap Yo, tú, el, y el otro (1993). His film work includes titles like Anatomía de una violación (1992) and Bajo Amenaza: 42 km. de angustia (2009), showcasing his ability to transition between television and cinema. In addition to acting, Fierro became a prominent television presenter, most notably hosting the Mexican adaptation of the American quiz show Jeopardy! from 1998 to 2000, where his sharp wit and charismatic delivery earned him a dedicated audience. He later anchored morning programs such as Cada Mañana and A Ganar con Omar, further cementing his reputation as a trusted household name.
