Morgan Spector

Morgan Spector is an American actor born on October 4, 1980 in Santa Rosa, California, and he has become known for his versatile work across stage, film, and television. Raised in the small town of Guerneville, his early exposure to theater came at the age of eight through community productions, and he continued acting through high school and his studies at Reed College where he earned a BA before completing an MFA at the American Conservatory Theater. After a tour with The Lion King and a move to New York City in 2006, he broke onto the Broadway scene in 2010, stepping into the role of Rodolpho in A View from the Bridge after an injury to another performer, a moment that highlighted his readiness and talent. His stage credentials expanded with Off‑Broadway work such as The Russian Transport and a celebrated 2014 revival of Sophie Treadwell’s Machinal alongside future wife Rebecca Hall, a partnership that later extended to the stage in Animal (2017) and to the screen in Christine (2016) and Permission (2017). On television, Spector gained wider recognition with his supporting turn in Homeland (2018) and a lead role in the HBO adaptation of Philip Roth’s The Plot Against America (2020), where his performance was praised for its nuance.
