Mi Yang, full name in Chinese 米杨, is a consummate professional in the world of volleyball. Born on the 24th of January, 1989 in Gansu, China, she has made a significant impact in her chosen field. She began her career in 2007 with the Nanjing Army team and, showing remarkable tenacity, has remained active in the sport till date. By 2009, she moved to the Tianjin Bridgestone and then, in 2014, to the Fujian Zhenrong, before eventually joining her current team, the Shanghai. Mi Yang is not just restricted to regional volleyball as she has had the honour of representing her nation in the London 2012 Olympics, a testament to her skills and commitment to the sport. Mi stands tall at height of 1.80m, exhibiting an impressive spike at 305 cm and a block at 298cm. Her dedication to her craft originates from her rooted ethnicity, being a part of the Hui ethnic group. A practising Muslim, she personifies discipline both on and off the court.
