Meelis Rämmeld

Meelis Rämmeld, born on 4 April 1975 in Tallinn, Estonia, is a distinguished Estonian actor whose career spans over two and a half decades. After completing his secondary education he enrolled at the Viljandi Culture Academy, graduating in 1997 from the Theatre Department, which marked the formal beginning of his professional journey. Immediately after his graduation he joined the renowned Ugala Theatre, where he honed his craft in a variety of classical and contemporary productions, earning praise for his versatility and stage presence. In 2015 he transitioned to the Endla Theatre, where he continues to perform, contributing to the vibrant Estonian theatrical scene with roles that range from comedic to deeply dramatic, showcasing his capacity to embody complex characters. Throughout his stage career Rämmeld has also cultivated a substantial filmography, appearing in notable feature films such as Stiilipidu (2004) as Andres, Polaarpoiss (2016) portraying Mattias' lawyer, and the critically acclaimed November (2017) in the role of Jaan. His on‑screen work further includes Eia jõulud Tondikakul (2018) as the tractorist Pets, Portugal (2018) as Karl, and On the Water (2020) as a fisherman, each performance highlighting his adaptability across genres.
