Luca Ward, born 31 July 1960 in Ostia, a coastal district of Rome, is a prolific Italian actor and voice‑over artist whose career spans six decades. The eldest son of actor Aleardo Ward and Maresa Ward, Luca grew up in a theatrical household and even carries a touch of American heritage, as his paternal grandfather served as a U.S. Marine during the First World War. He first appeared on Italian television in 1963, a remarkable early start that foreshadowed a lifelong devotion to performance, and officially entered the professional realm in 1981, remaining active to the present day. His on‑screen work includes notable roles such as the youthful lead in the 1984 teen comedy Chewingum directed by Biagio Proietti and the charismatic businessman Massimo Forti in the popular soap opera CentoVetrine, both of which cemented his reputation in Italian popular culture.\n\nBeyond traditional acting, Ward is perhaps best known to the Italian public as the official dubbing voice for major international stars including Pierce Brosnan, Samuel L. Jackson, Keanu Reeves and Russell Crowe.
