Louis Leterrier

Louis Leterrier, born 17 June 1973, is a French film and television director, most notably known for his work in action films. He directed the first two Transporter films (2002–2005), The Incredible Hulk (2008), Clash of the Titans (2010), Now You See Me (2013), and the tenth and eleventh Fast & Furious installment. He also directed the streaming television series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019) and Lupin (2021). In 1997, Leterrier worked with Jean-Pierre Jeunet on the set of Alien Resurrection. On returning to France, he launched a partnership with Luc Besson. Their work together included commercials for Club Internet and L'Oréal and the film Joan of Arc. Furthermore, Leterrier also collaborated with Alain Chabat on the production of Astérix & Obélix: Mission Cléopâtre (2002). Leterrier's solo debut was an action film, Jet Li in Unleashed, in 2004. Later, Luc Besson entrusted him to direct Transporter 2. In 2008, he directed his first big-budget American film, The Incredible Hulk. His next project was a remake of the 1981 Clash of the Titans, released on 2 April 2010. Leterriern's more recent works include the direction of Fast X and Fast XI, the latest installments of the Fast & Furious franchise. In May 2022, he replaced the series director Justin Lin in directing the tenth installment.
