Kento Nakajima

Kento Nakajima (中島健人) was born on March 13, 1994 in Tokyo, Japan and quickly developed a fascination with the world of Japanese idols after hearing the Johnny & Associates temporary unit song “Seishun Amigo” while in the sixth grade. At the age of fourteen he submitted his application to Johnny & Associates and officially joined the agency in April 2008, marking the start of a career that would span music, acting, voice work, and television presenting. His first group experience came as a member of the junior unit B.I.Shadow, where he also made an early acting appearance in the drama Scrap Teacher. In 2011, when he was just seventeen, he was selected for the debut of Sexy Zone, a five‑member idol group whose average age of 14.4 set a record as the youngest act to debut on the Oricon Singles Chart. Over the next decade Nakajima contributed to numerous hit singles, performed on national television, and even represented the WOWOW network during the Academy Awards broadcast, impressing viewers with his polished English. In 2024 he announced his departure from Sexy Zone effective March 31, while remaining with Johnny & Associates to pursue broader acting opportunities, including his overseas drama debut in Hulu/SkyShowtime’s Concordia and a voice‑over role in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. He also launched the musical unit GEMN, releasing the opening theme “Fatal” for the anime Oshi no Ko, and prepared a solo album “N/bias” slated for December 25, 2024, followed by his first solo live at Ariake Arena in January 2025. Beyond his professional life, Nakajima is an only child raised by his mother, a devoted piano player, and the creator of the fan nickname “Sexy Lovers” (セクラバ). He maintains a daily blog called KenTeaTime, is an avid fan of Kimetsu no Yaiba, and cares for his toy poodle “Bonita”. He earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Meiji Gakuin University and, as of October 2024, expanded his digital presence with official YouTube and TikTok channels.
