Kanon Tani

Kanon Tani (born May 4, 2004) is a Japanese former child actress and tarento who first captured public attention at the age of three when she debuted in television dramas. Over the next decade she built a diverse portfolio that spans live‑action series, feature films, anime voice work, and even music releases, making her a versatile figure in Japan’s entertainment industry. Her early television credits include appearances on TBS’s Boku no Imōto (2009) and Fuji TV’s Namae o Nakushita Megami (2011), where her natural on‑screen charisma earned praise from critics and viewers alike. In 2011 she starred in the popular drama Full Throttle Girl and later appeared in the beloved series Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (2015) portraying the childhood version of Menma, a role that cemented her reputation for delivering emotionally resonant performances. Beyond acting, Tani contributed her voice to several high‑profile anime films, notably voicing Yotsuha Miyamizu in Makoto Shinkai’s Your Name (2016) and Weathering with You (2019), and playing the title character in Lu over the Wall (2017). Her vocal talent also extended to dubbing, where she provided the Japanese voice for Lucy van Pelt in The Peanuts Movie (2015).
