Kamil Szeptycki

Kamil Szeptycki was born on 27 January 1991 in Immenstadt, Germany, to Polish parents who had fled the Communist regime. His mother, Małgorzata Szeptycka, was an actress who introduced him to the performing arts at an early age, and the family returned to Poland when he was two, settling in Wrocław. There he attended Agnieszka Osiecka High School, where his passion for drama deepened, and later graduated from the Wrocław branch of the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in 2016. Growing up in a bicultural environment, Szeptycki became fluent in both German and Polish, a skill that later enriched his acting versatility. His early exposure to stage productions, combined with formal training, shaped a disciplined work ethic that would define his subsequent career. Stones for the Rampart (2014) marked his cinematic debut, where he portrayed the young resistance fighter Maciej Aleksy Dawidowski, earning critical attention for his authentic portrayal of wartime bravery.

Szeptycki’s career accelerated with a standout performance as Kazimierz Sosnkowski in Piłsudski (2019), a role that cemented his reputation as a compelling historical actor. He is slated to embody composer Julian Fontana in the upcoming film Chopin, a Sonata in Paris by Michał Kwieciński, a project that promises to expand his international profile. Beyond screen work, he remains active in theater, frequently returning to stage productions in Warsaw and his hometown.
