What's After the Movie
Jack McBrayer, born on May 27, 1973, is a renowned American actor and comedian who rose to fame for his characters on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and as Kenneth Parcell in 30 Rock. His sublime acting skills in 30 Rock earned him a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series at the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards. Jack is also acclaimed for his voice acting roles. He lent his voice to the character Fix-It Felix Jr. in the 2012 film Wreck-It Ralph and its 2018 sequel, and the title character Wander in Wander Over Yonder. He's held recurring roles in shows like Phineas and Ferb, Puppy Dog Pals, Amphibia, The Middle, and Netflix's Big Mouth. Apart from movies and series, he's also appeared in an episode of Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell, which landed him another Emmy nomination.
McBrayer hails from Macon, Georgia and moved to Conyers, Georgia in his teens. He studied theater administration at the University of Evansville. His professional career kick-started in 1995 at The Second City and IO Theater in Chicago, a stint that prepared him for his role on 30 Rock under creator Tina Fey. He's been part and parcel of over 80 sketches on Late Night with Conan O'Brien from 2002-04, often satirizing his Southern roots by playing stereotypical hillbilly characters. He has also made several cameo appearances on Late Night and even voiced Irving DuBois on Phineas and Ferb since 2009. In 2010, McBrayer notably featured in Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore. Presently, he co-created and stars in the Apple TV+ series, Hello, Jack! The Kindness Show.
