Holly Marie Combs is an American actress and producer whose career spans more than four decades, beginning in the mid‑1980s with small roles on daytime soaps and modest film parts such as the biographical drama Born on the Fourth of July (1989). She first garnered critical attention as Kimberly Brock on the CBS series Picket Fences (1992‑1996), earning a Young Artist Award and a Screen Actors Guild nomination, and then broke into mainstream fame as Piper Halliwell, the middle witch of the Charmed sister trio, a role she inhabited from 1998 to 2006 while also serving as a producer from the fifth season onward.
