Holly Harris

Holly Harris is an Australian figure skater born on 2 November 2002 in Sydney, Australia, who has established herself as a prominent ice dancer on the international stage. Standing at 1.54 meters tall, Harris began her skating journey in 2008 and initially competed as a singles skater, winning consecutive Australian novice titles before making her international debut in the 2016–17 season. She achieved notable success in singles, including winning the 2016 Australian junior national title and qualifying for the free skate at the 2017 World Junior Championships where she finished 23rd overall. However, after suffering multiple concussions that left her fearful of further head injuries, she made the pivotal decision to transition from singles skating to ice dance. This career shift led her to form a partnership with Canadian ice dancer Jason Chan, and the duo began training at the prestigious Ice Academy of Montreal under the guidance of renowned coaches Marie-France Dubreuil, Patrice Lauzon, and Romain Haguenauer.

Since debuting as an ice dance team in the 2019–20 season, Harris and Chan have become two-time Australian national champions, securing titles in 2019 and 2025, and have represented Australia at the highest levels of international competition. The partnership made their ISU Championship debut at the 2020 Four Continents Championships in Seoul, and despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic which cancelled several events, they continued to climb the ranks, making their World Championship debut in 2021. Their career highlights include winning the silver medal at the 2025 CS Trialeti Trophy, finishing fifth at the 2026 Four Continents Championships, and most significantly, qualifying a spot for Australia in ice dance at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina after securing silver at the final Olympic qualifying event, the ISU Skate to Milano. Throughout their partnership, Harris and Chan have been known for their diverse program choices, incorporating music by artists such as Jennifer Lopez, ABBA, Madonna, Labrinth, and Kylie Minogue. They have consistently placed in the top ten at Four Continents Championships while competing against the world's elite ice dance teams, establishing themselves as Australia's premier ice dance team.
